What we do
40X benchmarks working professionals against the live median for their actual role — not generic AI trivia — with a proctored, hands-on assessment scored against what frontier teams are shipping right now. Then we train to the deficiencies the assessment found, and re-certify on a cadence, because a skill measured against a moving frontier has a shelf life.
Why we exist
The floor is rising every month. The difference between someone who uses AI well and someone who doesn't is no longer a rounding error — it's a multiple. But almost nobody can measure that difference, so hiring guesses, training is generic, and experienced people get written off when what they actually need is a current benchmark and a focused path back to the frontier.
What we believe
- Skills are dated against today. A 2023 certificate tells you what someone knew in 2023. Our benchmark moves with the frontier, and so do the people measured against it.
- Context is the moat. The person who already knows your business is worth more upskilled than replaced. Keep your people; raise their multiplier.
- If we can't measure it, we won't claim it. Every score traces to recorded, rubric-scored work — not self-reported confidence.
Who we are
